What it is

Tactics you can read.
A world you'll want to protect.

◆

A turn-based tactics RPG with a roguelite heart and a binder of holo cards: played on a phone, a Mac, a television, or on the table in front of you. The tone is cosy-heroic. Defeated beasts are calmed, not killed; fallen heroes are carried home on a swirl of leaves.

Turn-based tactics

Tactics with teeth

Height, facing and elements decide every fight. Take the high ground, then pick your facing. Puddles conduct, oil burns, mist muffles, and the game shows you the maths before you commit.

  • Hit chance, damage range and reactions on every forecast
  • Eight elements that answer the land you fight on
  • A Bond gauge that builds until your party can call down a Wyrm

Roguelite expeditions

Set out for infinite wild lands

Choose the land you set out for at the Expedition Gate, then walk a trail of forks: battles, elites, camp-fire stories, mini-games and a guardian at the end. Every board is generated fresh, so reefs, canyons, lava fields and hollows never play the same way twice.

A failed run still pays out and teaches you something. Then the forest regrows, and you pack your four.

  • The odds posted on every pack, and a free gift every day

  • A new layout every floor, checked solvable before you see it
  • Loot in four rarities, equipped as you find it
  • A guardian sealing the stairs every third floor

The story

When the Wyrms went quiet

◆

The Everwild once sang with eight great voices: the Eight Wyrms, elemental dragons who did not rule the land but kept time for it. Warmed the forges. Turned the tides. Woke the spring. Brought the dusk, and with it rest.

Now a creeping rot called the Blight turns the gentle beasts of the wild feral. It began with a grieving king who closed the Well of Endings and forbade anything to end. The world's endings pooled beneath the roots like water behind a dam, and festered.

A sanctuary village of humans and fauna-folk sends its bravest through the living Rootgate: a teen squire in armour one size too big, a cat grandmaster who eats apples mid-battle, a foxy rogue with nine kinds of exploding tea. Calm the wild. Free the Wyrms. And face King Rotcrown, who wanted nothing he loved ever to end.

"He tried to save the rose by never letting it close, and so it never opened again." Elder Mossback, keeper of the Wild Accord

The Everwild

Every land, its own mood

◆

Each land has its own painted horizon, its own wildlife, its own sealed Wyrm and its own guardian, corrupted from the seal below. The boards themselves are generated fresh every time you set out.

The town

No chosen ones. Just neighbours.

◆

Everyone you lead lives in Grovehaven. Farm-girl knights and hedgehog spearmen. A three-eyed rabbit samurai, a dormouse who tends a pack altar, an axolotl who soaks raptors and puddles with the same spell. One hundred heroes across twenty jobs and eight elements, each with a card of their own and a way to fit in a party.
